Firearms 101 Basic Training

This class is designed for the student who has never had any formal training in firearms, the person who is around guns, but may be nervous, apprehensive or even scared of them. We take small steps and take away your worries with firearms.

Class room session covers:

Basics of firearms safety and operation. Starting with the nomenclature of semi automatic and revolver pistols. Talking and demonstrating proper stance, grip, sight alignment and trigger pull and cleaning a gun. We also explain other basic concepts of firearms, ammunition, type and size, single action, double action, and discuss how to choose a firearm for you. We touch on how to properly reload a semi automatic firearm, how to clear malfunctions and draw a firearm from a holster.

We can also administer the Firearms Safety Certificate (FSC) test. This test is required before purchasing a firearm. We only administer to students and the cost is $20. Certificates are emailed to students after completion of an above course.
